PENNENVIRONMENT IS DEDICATED TO PROTECTING OUR AIR, WATER AND OPEN SPACES. WEINVESTIGATE PROBLEMS, CRAFT SOLUTIONS, EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND DECISION-MAKERS AND HELP THE PUBLIC MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD IN LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL DEBATES OVER THE QUALITY OF OUR ENVIRONMENT.

RESEARCHING AND INFLUENCING PUBLIC POLICY: STAFF ENGAGE IN NON-LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND LEGAL AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT ON THE FOLLOWING ISSUES: PROMOTING RENEWABLE ENERGY STRATEGIES, CLEANING UP OUR WATERWAYS AND BANNING TOXIC PESTICIDES USED IN FOOD PRODUCTION.


PUBLIC EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS, DISTRIBUTINGEDUCATIONAL LITERATURE, CONDUCTING SURVEYS AND DISCUSSING ISSUES WITH THE PUBLICREACHING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS EACH YEAR ON THE FOLLOWING ISSUES: PROMOTING RENEWABLE ENERGY STRATEGIES, CLEANING UP OUR WATERWAYS AND BANNING TOXIC PESTICIDES USED IN FOOD PRODUCTION.
