YWCA OF LOWELL IS DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING RACISM, EMPOWERING WOMEN, AND PROMOTING JUSTICE FOR ALL.

Part 3 - Line 4a

CONDUCTED OUTREACH , REFERRAL SERVICES, GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP TRAINING, AND ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR A TOTAL OF MORE THAN 800 COMMUNITY RESIDENTS. WORKED COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO INCREASE RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT IN CIVIC AND COMMUNITY LIFE. HELPED FAMILIES ACCESS RESOURCES AND SERVICES, AND STRENGTHEN NEIGHBORHOOD CONNECTIONS.


YOUTH SERVICES: PROVIDED MULTIPLE YOUTH ENRICHMENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION DROP-IN PROGRAM, SUMMER DAY CARE, TEEN HEALTH PROGRAMS, PEER LEADERSHIP TRAINING, VOTER REGISTRATION EDUCATION.


PRIME TIME: PROVIDED INDIVIDUAL HOME-BASED COUNSELING SERVICES AND AN ON-SITE ACTIVITIES-BASED COUNSELING GROUP TWICE WEEKLY FOR 25 SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN, AS WELL AS SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THEIR FAMILIES. OTHER ACTIVITIES INCLUDED FAMILY-FRIENDLY POTLUCK DINNERS, A HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE, AND A BACK-TO-SCHOOL BACKPACK GIVEAWAY.
