MISSION:

THE SHAWANO COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING HUMANE TREATMENT AND CARE TO ANIMALS NEEDING PROTECTION, RETURNING LOST PETS TO THEIR OWNERS, PROVIDING HUMANE EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC, AND PLACING UNWANTED PETS IN RESPONSIBLE, LOVING HOMES. WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND OPERATE ON DONATIONS AND FUND-RAISERS.

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO ORGANIZE AND ASSOCIATE THE TOWNS AND VILLAGES OF THE STATE OF WISCONSIN, BY ACTION OF THEIR GOVERNING UNITS FOR THE COOPERATIVE EXERCISE OF LEADERSHIP AND IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND STRATEGIES THAT ADVANCE THE PURPOSE OF TOWN AND VILLAGE GOVERNMENT.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to make available to members and their guests and facilities for recreational activities, sports and games. Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC STABILITY TO SHAWANO COUNTY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH THE PROVISIONS OF AN AFFORDABLE OCCUPANCY ENVIRONMENT.

WE HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY POVERTY IMPROVE THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES AND BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT. WE OPERATE A HOMELESS SHELTER FOR OVERNIGHT OCCUPANCY FROM 11/1 TO 4/30 EACH YEAR.

IN 2018 WE SUCCESSFULLY PROMOTED THE SHAWANO COUNTRY AREA TO TOURISTS BY ADVERTISING AT CONVENTIONS, HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, ETC. WE ALSO PROMOTED THE SHAWANO COUNTRY AREA TO BUSINESSES & PROFESSIONALS THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS AND BUSINESSES. WE PROMOTED LOCAL ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH OUR CHAMBER BUCKS PROGRAM WHERE RECIPIENTS SPEND THEIR CHAMBER BUCKS AT LOCAL RETAILERS. IT IS DIFFICULT TO STATISTICALLY MEASURE THE EXACT IMPACT OF OUR EFFORTS, BUT THE SHAWANO COUNTRY AREA IS GROWING BOTH SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY.

The goal of this organization is to acquire, preserve, research, exhibit and provide for the educational use of works of art, objects or artifacts that are related to the study of zoology, biology, botany, mineralogy, geology and other natural sciences; history; archeology; or science and technology.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, water polo, boating, white water rafting and other water sports. Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect water resources from indiscriminate waste and ensure that the supply of quality water is adequate to meet the needs of the public, agriculture and industry. Also included are organizations that preserve and manage coastal lands including shorelines, coastal waters and lands extending inland from the shore which affect coastal waters; bays, lakes, rivers, wetlands, estuaries, watersheds and other aquatic habitats.

THE PURPOSE OF SAFPARC ENDOWMENT INC IS TO ENSURE THE ONGOING FUNDING OF THE SHAWANO AREA FOOD PANTRY AND RESOURCE CENTER.

TO MAINTAIN A YOUTH ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE WHICH TEACHES CHILDREN OF ALL AGES SKATING AND HOCKEY SKILLS.

The goal of this organization is to work to relieve poverty in developing countries by providing funds, technical assistance and supplies which improve the health, education, welfare, social well-being and self-reliance of individuals and families. Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.
