THE MARIE A. MANSBACH MEMORIAL STUDENT MOTIVATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IS DEDICATED TO THE PRINCIPLES OF SCHOLARSHIP, CITIZENSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY. MANSBACH SCHOLARS ARE ETHNICALLY DIVERSE STUDENTS, CHOSEN FROM THOSE IN THE NORFOLK PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, WHO SHOW GREAT PROMISE BUT ARE NOT YET STARS. THROUGH MENTORING IN MATHEMATICS, WRITING, QUIET READING, CRITICAL THINKING, REASONING AND COMPREHENSION, THE MANSBACH SCHOLARS RECEIVE A STRONG ACADEMIC FOUNDATION WHICH PREPARES THEM FOR FURTHER EDUCATION. THE FOUNDATION OFFERS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO ITS SCHOLARS WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE MULTI-YEAR PROGRAM AND WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO COLLEGE.

The goal of this organization is to focus on the development and improvement of food resources or food procurement through information and technical assistance for agricultural establishments and individuals in rural or urban settings.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACTIVE ADULTS. THE FOUNDATION OFFERS OVER 150 COURSES ANNUALLY AT MINIMAL COST TO ITS OVER 1,000 MEMBERS IN THE CENTRAL VA AREA. THE FOUNDATION UTILIZES A 300+ VOLUNTEER BASE TO TEACH AND SUPPORT THESE OFFERINGS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO OFFERS EVENTS AND COURSES THAT ARE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

U-TURN IS A COMMUNITY DEVOTED TO ELEVATING LIVES (THROUGH ATHLETICS, COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING, EVENTS AND NONPROFIT DEVELOPMENT). U-TURN ALSO PROVIDES OFFICE AND MEETING SPACE TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT ALIGNS WITH U-TURN'S CORE VALUES INCLUDING CHURCHES, PARA-CHURCH MINISTRIES AND FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.

The goal of this organization is to provide services relating to religion where a more specific code cannot be accurately assigned. Examples may include Unitarianism, Taoism, Sikhs, Zoroastrism, Atheism, Actualism, Theosophy, Bahaism and reference to miracles.
