BRIGHT PATH STRONG (BPS) IS A NATIVE AMERICAN-LED REGISTERED 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED TO CONTINUE THE LEGACY OF AKAPAMATA (CAREGIVER), A SAC AND FOX NAME GIVEN TO JIM THORPE FOR THE GREATNESS HE EXHIBITED IN COMMUNITY SERVICE ON AND OFF THE FIELD.

TO SUPPORT MEDICAL & DENTAL TREATMENT, PREVENTION OF CHILDHOOD DISEASES AND PROMOTE HEALTH EDUCATION FOR POOR CHILDREN IN THE INNER CITIES OF THIS NATION.

OPERATION OF A HOUSE FOR THE ROOMING AND BOARD OF 21 WOMEN TO LIVE IN WHILE ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH. THE ORGANIZATION FACILITATES FRIENDSHIP, MUTUAL SUPPORT, SELF-GROWTH, INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT, AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF AND ALLEGIANCE TO POSITIVE ETHICAL BEHAVIOR.
