OVER THE YEARS THE CORPORATION HAS DEVELOPED A CORE COMPETENCY IN A VARIED SPECTRUM OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROMOTION ROLES WHICH HAS PLACED IT IN A POSITION TO CAPITALIZE INDUSTRIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE STARR COUNTY REGION.

MISSION:

STARR OF HOPE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CREATED TO HELP VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT BY PROVIDING SHELTER SERVICES AND ADVOCACY. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ADOPTED AS A TEXAS NON-PROFIT CORPORATION ON JANUARY 17, 2010 AND IS COMMITTED TO SERVING THE COUNTIES OF STARR, ZAPATA AND JIM HOGG.

MISSION:

LA BORDE HOUSE, A HISTORICAL HOTEL HAS BEEN RESTORED AND IS BEING PRESERVED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. THE HOTEL IS VISITED ANNUALLY BY APPROXIMATELY 2,100 GUESTS FROM ALL OVER THE USA.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE A MEDIUM FROM WHICH THE YOUTH OF STARR COUNTY COULD EXHIBIT THEIR SCHOOL AND/OR 4-H PROJECTS. IN ADDITION, THE YOUTH BENEFIT FROM PREMIUMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS PAID BY THE ORGANIZATION.

The goal of this organization is to provide or coordinate a wide variety of programs and services for people with developmental disabilities.

The goal of this organization is to provide access to free or low-cost food products to children, seniors, or indigents by distributing groceries, providing meals, providing facilities for storing food or making available land on which people can grow their own produce.

IMPROVE THE LIVES OF COLONIA RESIDENTS BY IMPROVING HOUSING AND INFRASTRUCTURE, PROVIDING EDUCATION, FOOD PANTRY, CHILD NUTRITION, ESL, AND ENVIRNOMENTAL EDUCATION.
