FBWC RIO BEND IS FORMED WITH THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF HOLDING REAL PROPERTY ON BEHALF OF FORT BEND COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER, A 501(C)(3) TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO ASSIST SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT AND THEIR CHILDREN TO ACHIEVE SAFETY AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY, WHILE STRIVING TO PREVENT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN.FBWC RIO BEND HOLDS REAL PROPERTY, "THE RIO BEND COMMUNITY," WHICH FURTHERS THE NON-PROFIT MISSION OF FORT BEND COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER BY BEING THE SITE OF UP TO 64 HOUSING UNITS FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT AND THEIR CHILDREN. THIS PROPERTY IS ALSO THE SITE OF FORT BEND COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER'S SUPPORTIVE SERVICES OFFICES, FROM WHICH FORT BEND COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER SERVES NOT ONLY THE RESIDENTS OF RIO BEND BUT ITS APPROXIMATELY 800 OTHER CLIENTS, INCLUDING CHILDREN.

CREATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRESERVING AND PROTECTING LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM AND/OR DURING SUCH FIRES, STORMS, ACCIDENTS AND OTHER EMERGENCIES AS MAY ARISE WITHIN PECAN GROVE, WATERSIDE ESTATES AND HARVEST GREEN SUBDIVISIONS IN FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS AND VICINITY, TRAINING OF MEMBERS IN THE METHODS OF FIGHTING FIRE AND EMERGENCY FIRST AID, AND THE EDUCATION OF THE CITIZENS OF THESE SUBDIVISIONS IN THE MEANS AND METHODS OF PREVENTION OF FIRES AND THE REMOVAL OF FIRE HAZARDS.
