THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF MCCOY FARM AND GARDENS IS TO RESTORE, ENHANCE AND PRESERVE THIS HISTORIC MCCOY PROPERTY SO THAT IT MAY SERVE THE COMMUNITY AS AN ARBORETUM, NATURAL AREA AND VENUE FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE USE.

OUR AGENCY SUPPORTS OPPORTUNITIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESIDENCE FOR INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED ADULTS. WE HAVE GROWN FROM 5 HOMES SERVING 15 INDIVIDUALS TO 10 HOMES SERVING 29 ADULTS IN NEED. THE AGENCY HAS EXPANDED TO SERVE BOTH BLOUNT AND KNOX COUNTIES IN EAST TENNESSEE. OUR EMPLOYEE BASE HAS GROWN TO 77 EMPLOYEES AND THE AGENCY NOW OFFERS MEDICAL AND LIFE INSURANCE AS WELL AS A HOST OF OTHER SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFITS TO ALL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES. THE BOARD PRESIDENT HAS EXPANDED HER ROLE TO CEO UPON RETIRING FROM U.S. BANK IN MID OCTOBER AND JOINING THE AGENCY FULL-TIME.

THE BELIZE PROJECT BEGAN OUT OF CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ABOUT 16 YEARS AGO WHEN THE CHURCH WAS LOOKING FOR AN ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRY CLOSE TO NASHVILLE THAT COULD BE A LOCATION FOR SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS. MAC KELTON, A LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR WENT ON A TRIP AND CAUGHT A VISION FOR A MINISTRY THERE AND BEGAN TRAVELING DOWN SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR AND TAKING DIFFERENT FOLKS WITH HIM WITH VARIOUS BACKGROUNDS. FROM THERE, MANY PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY JOINED THE VISION TO START WORK ON VARIOUS MISSIONS....FARMS, FISH FARMS, REHAB, PRISON MINISTRY, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, CHURCH LEADER TRAINING, EDUCATION TRAINING, MICRO-LENDING, ETC. THE BELIZE PROJECT EMPOWERS PEOPLE THROUGH RESTORATION AND WHOLENESS FOR THE GLORY OF CHRIST.

The goal of this organization are the religious affiliations that produce films, videos and holographic images which have religious content.

The goal of this organization is to offer new or second-hand furniture, appliances, clothing, toys and other material goods at lower than retail prices, and which often use the proceeds from sales to support other services to the community. Thrift shops accept direct donations from the public of new and reusable goods.
