THE MISSION OF LUKE 14:12 IS TO PROVIDE FREE HOT NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO THE THOSE SUFFERING FROM FOOD INSECURITY AND THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN THE NASHVILLE AREA. LUKE 14:12 IS AN ECUMENICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM THROUGH WHICH PERSONS OF DIVERSE FAITH COMMUNITIES JOIN TOGETHER IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THOSE WHO ARE INADEQUATELY FED.

FOUNDED IN 1986, NASHVILLE TREE FOUNDATION IS NASHVILLE'S OLDEST NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO PLANTING AND PRESERVING NASHVILLE'S URBAN CANOPY. NTF PLANTS TREES ON BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LAND, PRIORITIZING AREAS WHERE LOW TREE CANOPY AND LOW INCOME INTERSECT. ALL TREES PLANTED BY NTF COUNT TOWARDS THE CITY'S GOAL OF PLANTING 500,000 TREES BY THE YEAR 2050 (KNOWN AS THE ROOT NASHVILLE CAMPAIGN). FOLLOWING THE DEVASTATING TORNADOS IN 1998 AND 2020, NTF LED EFFORTS TO RESTORE THE TREE CANOPY IN TORNADO-IMPACTED COMMUNITIES THROUGH PLANTINGS AND FREE TREE DISTRIBUTION CAMPAIGNS.

The goal of this organization is to operate organizations that provide educational programs within the formal educational system or offered as an adjunct to the traditional school curriculum which help students succeed in school and prepare for life. Includes organizations that partner parents, families, schools, business and/or community leaders to broker resources for the benefit of local schools.
