UNION AVENUE BAPTIST HOUSING MINISTRIES, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION FORMED ON APRIL 25, 1977, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUTES OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING AN 85-UNIT COMMUNITY LOCATED IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE KNOWN AS UNION AVENUE BAPTIST TOWERS, WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING AND RELATED SERVICES FOR VERY LOW AND EXTREMELY LOW INCOME ELDERLY PERSONS. THE PROJECT WAS ORIGINALLY FINANCED UNDER SECTION 202 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED. ON JULY 31, 2008, THE ORIGINAL MORTGAGE WAS REPAID WITH PROCEEDS FROM A LOAN INSURED BY HUD UNDER SECTION 207 PURSUANT TO 223(F) OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED.

The goal of this organization are the residential options exclusively for older adults who want to have a simpler, maintenance-free lifestyle and enjoy the company of peers with common interests, or who require a moderate amount of support in the activities of daily living to maintain independent living.

PROVIDE APARTMENT UNITS AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES UNDER THE TERMS OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR VERY LOW AND EXTREMELY LOW INCOME ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS.

THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A 40 UNIT COMMUNITY LOCATED IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE KNOWN AS LUTHER TERRACE, WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING AND RELATED SERVICES FOR VERY LOW AND EXTREMELY LOW INCOME ELDERLY PERSONS PURSUANT TO SECTION 202 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED.

THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A 23-UNIT COMMUNITY LOCATED IN DYERSBURG, TENNESSEE KNOWN AS WESLEY HILLS DYERSBURG, WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING AND RELATED SERVICES FOR VERY LOW AND EXTREMELY LOW INCOME ELDERLY PERSONS PURSUANT TO SECTION 202 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT, AS AMENDED.
