THE PENNSYLVANIA ECONOMY LEAGUE ("PEL") IS AN INDEPENDENT NON-PROFIT PUBLIC POLICY RESEARCH ENTITY.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

PROMOTE AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY OF THE BEAVER AREA THROUGH RESEARCH,DOCMENTATION,EDUCATION AND PRESERVATION ACTIVITIES.

TO MAKE AVAILABLE NEW AND USED ITEMS OF GOOD QUALITY FOR SALE AT A LOW COST TO LOW INCOME PEOPLE OF THIS AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF MENNONITE CENTRAL COMMITTEE.

THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE, ADVERTISE, AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE NATURAL, HISTORIC, RECREATIONAL, CULTURAL, AND HOSPITALITY VALUE OF FRANKLIN COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA, AND TO PROMOTE COLLABORATION WITHIN THE COUNTY'S TOURISM INDUSTRY.

PROTECTION OF LIVES AND PROPERTY. THE CORPORATION HAS PROTECTED LIVES AND PROPERTY WITHIN THE SIXTY SQUARE MILES OF DERRY TOWNSHIP, WHICH IS OUR PRIMARY RESPONSE AREA.
