MISSION:

THE LANE COUNTY DEFENSE CONSORTIUM IS A STATE CONTRACTED PROVIDER OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION FOR INDIGENT DEFENDANTS IN LANE COUNTY, OREGON. THE CONSORTIUM PROVIDES REPRESENTATION IN A VARIETY OF OFFENSES RANGING FROM MISDEMEANOR CHARGES TO FELONIES.

MISSION:

WE HELP LANE COUNTY SCHOOLS DEVELOP ONSITE VEGETABLE GARDENS WHERE WE TEACH CHILDREN STANDARDS-BASED SCIENCE AND THE BASICS OF GROWING FOOD, USING THE GARDEN AS AN OUTDOOR LABORATORY. WE ALSO PROVIDE MATERIAL AND CURRICULUM RESOURCES; PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS; VOLUNTEER RECRUITING AND TRAINING; AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT TO SUSTAIN AND EXPAND GARDENS. The goal of this organization are the organizations, sometimes referred to as public charities, that derive their funding or support primarily from the general public in carrying out their social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare. Although public foundations may provide direct charitable services to the public as other nonprofits do, their primary focus is on grantmaking.

The goal of this organization are the organizations concerned with civil society, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector who seek to promote the practice of charitable giving and voluntarism through a variety of strategies including advocacy, disclosure, information exchange, and research. WORDCRAFTERS PROVIDES WRITERS AND READERS OPPORTUNITIES TO STRENGTHEN THEIR CRAFT, DEEPEN THEIR CONNECTION WITH LITERATURE, AND SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH FUTURE GENERATIONS.

FIREFIGHTERS UNITED FOR SAFETY, ETHICS AND ECOLOGY (FUSEE) ENGAGES IN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND POLICY ADVOCACY PROMOTING SAFE, ETHICAL, ECOLOGICAL FIRE MANAGEMENT.

The goal of this organization are the organizations whose members are business and professional men and/or women or other individuals who have a common interest in improving the life of the community, which conduct fund-raising events to finance community service projects. Many service clubs are chapters of national or international organizations.

WE PROVIDE EVIDENCE-BASED EDUCATION AND RESOURCES ON WILDLIFE REHABILITATION TO MOVE THE FIELD OF WILDLIFE REHABILITATION FORWARD; TO PROMOTE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AND WELFARE; AND TO MITIGATE HUMAN-WILDLIFE CONFLICTS WORLDWIDE, THROUGH BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WILD ANIMAL ECOLOGY, BEHAVIOR, AND WELFARE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to protect our natural resources from abuse, neglect, waste or exploitation and preserve their availability for future generations.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.
