NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES ORGANIZATION, INC., WAS FOUNDED IN 1920 AND INCORPORATED ON AUGUST 19, 1969 AS A FAITH-BASED NONPROFIT CORPORATION. ITS MISSION IS TRANSFORMING LIVES AND ENCOURAGING INDEPENDENCE THROUGH SAFE, HEALTHY HOMES, DENTAL CARE, AND NUTRITION.

SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST TO INNER CITY CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

EDUCATE, ADVOCATE, DEFEND, AND PROTECT THE CIVIL RIGHTS AND LIBERTIES GUARANTEED BY THE UNITED STATES AND OKLAHOMA CONSTITUTIONS.

TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALING AND HOPE FOR CHILDREN IN OKLAHOMA COUNTY. THE VISION OF THE CARE CENTER IS TO END CHILD ABUSE IN OKLAHOMA COUNTY.

TO PROMOTE THE FLOURISHING OF THE PEOPLE OF OKLAHOMA BY ADVANCING PRINCIPLES AND POLICIES THAT SUPPORT FREE ENTERPRISE, LIMITED GOVERNMENT, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND INDIVIDUAL INITIATIVE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
