The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

THE MISSION OF THE OHIO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (OEDA) IS TO INCREASE ECONOMIC PROSPERITY IN THE STATE OF OHIO BY ADVANCING THE PRACTICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

THE ALPHA LAMBDA CHAPTER WORKS TO INSTILL THIS MISSION IN THE WOMEN THAT IT SUPPORTS AS WELL AS THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION IS AN INDUSTRY-WIDE LABOR-MANAGEMENT COOPERATION COMMITTEE BETWEEN IBEW LOCALS 575, 683, 688, 1105 AND CENTRAL OHIO CHAPTER, NECA, INC CONTRACTOR MEMBERS TO PROMOTE THE ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY.

Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
