THE MISSION OF THE CINCINNATI DENTAL SOCIETY IS: TO SUPPORT, EDUCATE AND ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS; WHILE EDUCATING AND SERVING OUR COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

PROVIDE A RIGOROUS FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE-PREPARATORY SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM FOR HIGH-NEED AND HIGH-POTENTIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND INSPIRE AND TRAIN COLLEGE STUDENTS AS THE NEXT GENERATION OF TEACHERS.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE THOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION AS STATED IN ARTICLE I OF THE ASSOCIATION'S CONSTITUTION: " . . . TO FACILITATE A MORE EFFECTIVE COOPERATION AMONG TEACHERS AND RESEARCH SCHOLARS IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES, AND IN PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS OF SIMILAR GRADE, FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE INTERESTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH, AND IN GENERAL TO INCREASE THE USEFULNESS AND ADVANCE THE STANDARDS, IDEALS AND WELFARE OF THE PROFESSION, AND TO SERVE AS THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGENT FOR FACULTY AND LIBRARIANS AT THE UNIVERSITY.

The goal of this organization is to raise and distribute funds for multiple organizations within the Philanthropy, Voluntarism, and Grantmaking Foundations major group area.

The goal of this organization is to enable students who demonstrate financial need to obtain the financial assistance they require to meet their educational and living expenses while in school.

The goal of this organization are the organizations concerned with civil society, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector who seek to promote the practice of charitable giving and voluntarism through a variety of strategies including advocacy, disclosure, information exchange, and research.
