THE JEWISH AGENCY FOR ISRAEL - NORTH AMERICAN COUNCIL (THE ORGANIZATION"), WAS ORGANIZED TO WORK WITH AND IN SUPPORT OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN ISRAEL ACTIVE IN THE FIELDS OF ALIYAH (IMMIGRATION) AND ABSORPTION; SERVICE TO VULNERABLE POPULATIONS; BUILDING BRIDGES BETWEEN ISRAEL AND JEWISH COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD THROUGH ISRAELI EMISSARIES (SHLICHIM) IN COMMUNITIES AND COLLEGE CAMPUSES, SPONSORING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN ISRAEL, BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS, AND OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES.

THE SOCIETY PROVIDES HELP AND ASSISTANCE IN THE AREAS OF EMPLOYMENT,PUBLIC AND PRIVATE HEALTH AND WELFARE SERVICES AND SOCIAL SECURITY BENIFITS.
