DIFFA'S MISSION IS TO RAISE FUNDS AND DISTRIBUTE THEM TO AIDS ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN THREE RESPONSES TO AIDS:1. DIRECT SERVICES FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH AIDS/HIV.2. ADVOCACY ON BEHALF OF EFFECTIVE PUBLIC POLICY.3. AIDS AWARENESS AND INFECTION PREVENTION.

MISSION:

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to administer centralized fundraising efforts and then in turn distribute the contributed funds to several nonprofit agencies. THE SOCIETY WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ALUMNI AFFAIRS AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE AT THE SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS SERVING AS THE VEHICLE FOR GRANTING SELECT STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND MERIT AWARDS AND SOLICITING DONATIONS TO FUND THE PROGRAMS.

LEGAL MOMENTUM'S MISSION IS TO ADVANCE GENDER EQUALITY FOR WOMEN UNDER THE LAW.

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH STRATEGIES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE VEI PROGRAM AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS IN REAL- WORLD LEARNING ACTIVITIES.
