TO SUPPORT VOLUNTEERISM AND CHARITABLE WORK RELATING TO AMERICAN/JEWISH EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES WOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: CREATING A MOVEMENT OF VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED TO SOCIAL NEEDS; CREATING A DATABANK OF VOLUNTEERS AND PROJECTS IN ORDER TO COORDINATE THE ACTIVITIES IN THE MOST EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER; ASSISTING IN THE EXPANSION OF EXISTING SETTLEMENT IN ISRAEL AND TO ESTABLISH NEW SETTLEMENTS WITHIN THE GREEN LINE.

MISSION:

THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF CCWC IS TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MINORITY WOMEN IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION. CCWC CURRENTLY SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 5,000 MEMBERS.

AT THE SAME TIME, NEW PROVIDES A PIPELINE OF QUALIFIED WORKERS TO THE INDUSTRIES THAT BUILD, MOVE, POWER, GREEN, AND MAINTAIN NEW YORK. FOR OVER 40 YEARS, NEW HAS BEEN A GROUND-BREAKING MODEL THAT WORKS - FOR WOMEN AND FOR NEW YORK CITY. NEW FOCUSES ON SKILLED, UNIONIZED CAREERS IN THE TRADES WITH STARTING WAGES AVERAGING OVER $18.50 PER HOUR, BENEFITS, AND A PATH TO HIGHER WAGE EMPLOYMENT. NEW PRIMARILY SERVES LOW INCOME BLACK AND BROWN WOMEN FROM ALL FIVE BOROUGHS IN NEW YORK CITY.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.

Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.
