PROVIDE PREHOSPITAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE FOR ROCKFORD, BELMONT, LOWELL, SPARTA, GRATTAN AND GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP MICHIGAN. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED TO ALL REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY. SUBSCRIBERS TO THE CARE PLAN RECEIVE SERVICES AT NO COST FOR THE YEAR TERM.

ROCKFORD AREA COMMUNITY ENDOWMENT IS A LOCAL FOUNDATION COMMITTED TO ASSISTING ROCKFORD AREA RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, GOVERNMENT AND VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS TO EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES LOCALLY. RACE WAS FOUNDED IN 1964 AND REVITALIZED IN 2003.

MISSION:

THE ROCKFORD EDUCATION FOUNDATION (REF) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1991 TO PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR INCREASED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES IN THE ROCKFORD COMMUNITY. THE REF IS AN INDEPENDENT, NON-PROFIT CORPORATION, GOVERNED BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF TRUSTEES FROM THE COMMUNITY. TEACHERS, STUDENTS, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH INNOVATIVE IDEAS HAVE RECEIVED GRANTS FOR WIDE-RANGING, EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. LARGE AND SMALL GRANTS ARE AWARDED THREE TIMES ANNUALLY BASED ON THE MERIT OF THE REQUEST AND ITS ABILITY TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE. MAJOR GIFT GRANT REQUESTS ARE REVIEWED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION AND DETERMINED CASE BY CASE, AND STUDENT GRANTS ARE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE GRANTS COMMITTEE. THE REF IS PROUD TO AWARD EDUCATIONAL GRANTS TO THE ROCKFORD COMMUNITY.

TO THIS END THERE SHALL BE PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED EACH YEAR GIFTS SUCH AS MAY BE DETERMINED FITTING BY THE ORGANIZATION.
