TACARE WAS ORGANIZED FOR THE FOLLOWING MAIN PURPOSES:1. TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION OF AFRICA'S FRESH WATER RESEARCHERS, SCIENTISTS, AND POLICY MAKERS ON THE AFRICAN GREAT LAKES;2. STRENGTHEN UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPACTS OF BIOLOGICAL, PHYSICAL, CHEMICAL, ECONOMIC, POLITICAL, SOCIAL, AND TECHNICAL FACTORS ON THE AFRICAN FRESHWATER RESOURCES; AND3. ENHANCE GLOBAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN FRESHWATER LEARNING INSTITUTIONS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND ENTITIES TO ADDRESS THE CHALLENGES FACING ALL FRESHWATER RESOURCES WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON THE AFRICAN GREAT LAKES.

AACTMAD IS THE ANN ARBOR COMMUNITY FOR TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE, A NONPROFIT PARTICIPATORY MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT ENRICHES PEOPLE'S LIVES AND SENSE OF COMMUNITY THROUGH TRADITIONAL MUSIC, DANCE, SONG, AND RELATED ARTS.

TO PROMOTE AND INSTRUCT CHILDREN UP TO 18 YEARS OLD IN THE SPORT OF COMPETITIVE SWIMMING.

The goal of this organization is to work to relieve poverty in developing countries by providing funds, technical assistance and supplies which improve the health, education, welfare, social well-being and self-reliance of individuals and families. Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.

PROMOTE STUDENT ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT AND FITNESS THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS, SUPPORT TEAMS THROUGH SALES OF SPIRIT ITEMS AND CONCESSIONS AT SPORTING EVENTS.
