THE ASSOCIATION INTERACTS WITH MAINE PUBLIC UTILITIES TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH REASONABLE AND STABLE UTILITY RATES AND IMPROVED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT FROM MAINE PUBLIC UTILITIES. THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS' COLLECTIVE INTERESTS BEFORE LEGISLATORS AND REGULATORY COMMISSIONS. NEW LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVES UNDER CONSIDERATION IN THE MAINE LEGISLATURE ARE ANALYZED FOR THEIR IMPACT ON THE MEMBERS. THE RESULTS OF THESE ANALYSES ARE USED TO SUPPORT, OPPOSE AND/OR REVISE SUCH LEGISLATION SO THAT THE ASSOCIATION MEMBERS' INTERESTS IN AFFORDABLE ENERGY AND PRODUCTIVE ENERGY SERVICES ARE MAINTAI
