THE RESILIENT SISTERHOOD PROJECT'S MISSION IS TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER WOMEN OF AFRICAN DESCENT REGARDING COMMON BUT RARELY DISCUSSED DISEASES OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM THAT DISPROPORTIONATELY AFFECT THEM. WE APPROACH THESE DISEASES AND ASSOCIATED ISSUES THROUGH A CULTURAL AND SOCIAL JUSTICE LENS, AS WE BELIEVE THAT POOR KNOWLEDGE OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IS PRIMARILY RELATED TO HEALTH, RACIAL, AND SOCIOECONOMIC DISPARITIES.

MISSION:

THE SIMON OF CYRENE SOCIETY INC, A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS IN 1981, WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, AS WELL AS OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE DISABLED COMMUNITY, WHICH INCLUDES THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED AS WELL AS THOSE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.

MASSCREATIVE ADVANCES THE ADVOCACY LEARNING, CROSS-SECTOR ALLIANCES AND ORGANIZING EFFORTS NECESSARY FOR A MORE EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE ARTS, CULTURAL AND CREATIVE SECTOR FOR ALL IN MASSACHUSETTS. WE ENGAGE MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS, ARTISTS, CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS AND CULTURE WORKERS, AS WELL AS LOCAL ARTS LEADERS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS TO BUILD STRATEGIC ALLIANCES ACROSS THE CREATIVE ECONOMY IN THE COMMONWEALTH.
