TO PRESERVE AND MAINTAIN THE HISTORIC MCDOWELL HOUSE, THE ATTACHED APOTHECARY SHOP AND THE SURROUNDING GROUNDS TO SEEK, COLLECT, AND EXHIBIT MATERIALS THAT WHICH ARE APPROPRIATE WHILE DR. MCDOWELL PRACTICED FROM 1795-1820 AND TO TELL OF DR. MCDOWELLS WORK AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO MODERN MEDICINE.

MISSION:

THE KENTUCKY JUSTICE ASSOCIATION'S OBJECTIVES AND GOALS SHALL BE TO PROTECT THE 7TH AMENDMENT; TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY; TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION THROUGH LEGAL EDUCATION; TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES AFFECTING PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY; AND TO UPHOLD THE HONOR AND DIGNITY OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

TO PROVIDE DECENT, SAFE AND SANITARY HOUSING TO LOW INCOME, ELDERLY PERSONS AND HOUSEHOLDS. 16 UNITS AVAILABLE FOR ASSISTANCE.

LORDS LEGACY LIFE MINISTRIES PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT, COMMUNITY LIVING SUPPORT AND ADULT DAY TRAINING TO THOSE IN NEED WITH PHYSICAL AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES.

TO RESPOND IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST TO PERSONS IN POVERTY AND IN CRISIS BY UNITING THE COMMUNITY FOR SERVICE.

The goal of this organization is to provide or coordinate a wide variety of programs and services that meet the needs and interests of the senior population. Also included are organizations that administer funding for senior services under Title III of the Older Americans Act.

TO REDUCE THE TRAUMA EXPERIENCED BY CHILD VICTIMS OF ABUSE BY PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN A NURTURING, FRIENDLY, SAFE ENVIRONMENT.
