EMPORIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS A COLLECTION OF SEPARATE FUNDS AND RESOURCES GIVEN BY CARING CITIZENS WHO HAVE CHOSEN TO MAKE THEIR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE TO WORK AND LIVE, NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. THE SOLE PURPOSE IS TO MAKE THE 'COMMUNITY' A BETTER PLACE FOR PERPETUITY. THE 'COMMUNITY' CONSISTS OF THE KANSAS COUNTIES OF LYON, CHASE, GREENWOOD, MORRIS, OSAGE, COFFEY AND WABAUNSEE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide an alternative family living arrangement in agency-supervised family homes for dependent children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment; or for children or adults with disabilities who are unable to live with their birth families or in an independent setting.

TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY FINANCIAL SERVICES FOR OUR MEMBERS/OWNERS, ENHANCING THEIR FINANCIAL WELL-BEING WHILE MAINTAINING THE FINANCIAL STRENGTH OF THE CREDIT UNION.

The goal of this organization is to provide services relating to religion where a more specific code cannot be accurately assigned. Examples may include Unitarianism, Taoism, Sikhs, Zoroastrism, Atheism, Actualism, Theosophy, Bahaism and reference to miracles.

SUPERVISION AND ADMINISTRATION OF FREEMASONRY WITHIN KANSAS. COLLECT DUES, KEEP MEMBERSHIP RECORDS, HOST ANNUAL MEETING.

THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO END SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, ABUSE AND NEGLECT THROUGH SERVICE, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY. PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE SOS SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES, CASA OF THE FLINT HILLS, SEXUAL ASSUALT PREVENTION PROGRAM, CHILD VISITATION AND EXCHANGE CENTER, AND CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER.

FLINT HILLS TECHNICAL COLLEGE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO ASSIST STUDENTS THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS AND TO SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE COLLEGE BY ENHANCING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THAT LEAD TO EMPLOYMENT AND CONTINUOUS LEARNING.

EMPORIA STATE UNIVERSITY'S MEMORIAL UNION IS THE COMMUNITY CENTER OF THE UNIVERSITY, FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY, ADMINISTRATION, ALUMNI AND GUESTS. THE UNION IS A VITAL PART OF THE EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL LIFE OF THE UNIVERSITY.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is the fund-raising entity for a single institution within the Mutual & Membership Benefit major group area.

The goal of this organization is to provide substitute parental care for children during some portion of a twenty-four hour day.

TO PROVIDE DYNAMIC, CULTURALLY-SENSITIVE, HIGH QUALITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE TO RESIDENTS OF CHASE, COFFEY, GREENWOOD, LYON, MORRIS, OSAGE AND WABAUNSEE COUNTIES IN THE MOST EFFECTIVE, CARING AND EFFICIENT MANNER.

MISSION:

THE BUILDING WAS LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1985; HOWEVER, ITS HISTORIC STATUS WAS NO GUARANTEE OF IMMUNITY FROM TIME AND PROGRESS. WHEN DEMOLITION THREATENED THE BUILDING IN 1994, A GROUP OF CITIZENS RALLIED TO SAVE THE GRANADA. AFTER MANY YEARS OF HARD WORK, IT HAS BEEN RESTORED TO ITS LUSTEROUS BEAUTY. AND NOW, THE RESTORED HISTORICAL EMPORIA GRANADA THEATRE IS A DESTINATION FOR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL, AND SOCIAL EVENTS THAT STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY. THE FIRST FLOOR WAS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY TO ACCOMMODATE ANY KIND OF EVENT, WHETHER IT BE A CONFERENCE, SEMINAR, MEETING PLACE, CLASSROOM, WEDDING RECEPTION, DANCE, THEATRE, CONCERT OR PARTY. THIS BEAUTIFUL MULTI-USE BUILDING HAS BEEN WELL RECEIVED BY THE CITIZENS OF EMPORIA AND LYON COUNTY AND WILL SERVE THEIR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
