SEE SCHEDULE O - THE SOCIETY OF SKELETAL RADIOLOGY, INC. (THE SOCIETY) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO ENCOURAGE RESEARCH AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF EXPERTISE IN MUSCULOSKELETAL RADIOLOGY AND RELATED SCIENCES. THE SOCIETY PROVIDES CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR PRACTICING MUSCULOSKELETAL RADIOLOGISTS VIA AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING. THE SOCIETY'S PRIMARY SOURCES OF REVENUE ARE MEMBERSHIP DUES, MEETING REGISTRATION FEES, MEETING SPONSORSHIPS, AND JOURNAL SUBSCRIPTIONS.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
