TO PROMOTE INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNITY WELLNESS BY DEVELOPING SPACES AND PROJECTS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES WHERE LEVELS OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND POVERTY LIMIT OPPORTUNITIES, AND BY PROVIDING TRAINING, MENTORING, HOLISTIC-HEALTH PROGRAMS, AND COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THESE SPACES AND PROJECTS TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE FROM, AND REPRESENTATIVE OF, THESE COMMUNITIES AND, CONSEQUENTLY, ARE OFTEN UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH SERVICES AND OPPORTUNITIES.

MISSION:

OVER THE RAINBOW LIFE FUND WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE ONGOING AND LONG TERM SUPPORT FOR OVER THE RAINBOW'S SERVICES PROGRAM. THE SERVICES PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED TO HELP RESIDENTS OF OVER THE RAINBOW APARTMENTS ACQUIRE THE SKILLS AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY. IT ALSO AIMS TO HELP RESIDENTS CONNECT WITH EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, AND OTHER WELLNESS RESOURCES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES WITH WHICH THEY CAN ENHANCE THEIR OWN SENSE OF WELL-BEING. THE ACRONYM LIFE STANDS FOR LIVING INDEPENDENTLY, FEELING EMPOWERED.

THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO PERPETUATE HIS TOTAL ACCEPTANCE OF ALL PEOPLE, HIS COMMITMENT TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND HIS ENERGETIC DEDICATION TO ENRICHING CHILDREN AND INSTITUTIONS OF EVANSTON. THE ORGANIZATION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO INDIVIDUALS ALLOWING THEM TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
