COOK COUNTY FARM BUREAU FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED (1)TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PERSONS STUDYING AGRICULTURE AND RELATED FIELDS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BUSINESS, ECONOMICS, EDUCATION, VETERINARY MEDICINE, ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT; (2) TO ENCOURAGE, PROMOTE AND FUND THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS, PROGRAMS AND SEMINARS TO PROVIDE IMPROVED INSTRUCTION ABOUT AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND THEIR RELATED FIELDS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS SUCH AS 4-H, FFA, LEADERS TO WASHINGTON, ALOT AND AG IN THE CLASSROOM; (3) TO PROMOTE, FUND AND CONDUCT PROGRAMS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC LIBRARY COLLECTIONS WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON AGRICULTURE AND ITS RELATED FIELDS; (4) TO ENCOURAGE, PROMOTE AND FUND EDUCATION AND RESEARCH DESIGNED TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURE; (5) TO PROMOTE, FUND AND CONDUCT SEMINARS AND SCHOOLS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC LEADERSHIP.

MISSION:

AMERICANS FOR FAIRNESS SUPPORTS RESEARCH AND PUBLIC RELATIONS TO COMBAT ANTI-UNION INITIATIVES, INCLUDING SO-CALLED RIGHT-TO-WORK POLICIES "PAYCHECK PROTECTION" LAWS AIMED AT RESTRICTING UNION INVOLVEMENT IN POLITICS, ATTEMPTS TO WATER DOWN OR REPEAL PREVAILING WAGE STATUTES, AND EFFORTS TO BAN PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENTS. SUPPORTING SUCH CAUSES BENEFITS ALL WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. AMERICANS FOR FAIRNESS ENCOURAGES INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING, INCLUDING THE NEED TO BUILD AND REPAIR ROADS, BRIDGES, AND PORTS. PROMOTION OF SUCH SPENDING WILL BENEFIT ALL TAXPAYERS AND INFRASTRUCTURE USERS BY PROVIDING VALUE, EFFICIENCY, AND SAFETY. AMERICANS FOR FAIRNESS WILL DEVELOP AND EXECUTE MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATION CAMPAIGNS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC WITH REGARD TO LABOR AND INFRASTRUCTURE ISSUES. ITS OPERATIONS WILL OCCUR IN THE INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS NORTH CENTRAL STATES REGION.

TO PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR THE BUSINESS MANAGERS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF LOCAL OPERATING ENGINEERS UNIONS TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION AND IDEAS TO BETTER SERVE THEIR MEMBERS.
