OUR MISSION IS TO UP-SKILL INCUMBENT HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS, BUILD NEW TALENT FOR THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY AND PLACE PEOPLE INTO UNIONIZED CAREER PATHWAYS THROUGH TRAINING PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDE REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIPS. WE RECRUIT, TRAIN, AND RETAIN SKILLED EMPLOYEES AND PROVIDE ONGOING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA, WHO WILL DELIVER HIGH QUALITY GUEST SERVICES TO OUR EMPLOYER PARTNERS AND TO THE PUBLIC.

OUR MISSION IS TO EXAMINE VITAL CIVIC AND SOCIAL ISSUES THROUGH A PRISM OF FAITH AND CREATE AND DISTRIBUTE PROGRAMS TO INSPIRE ACTION IN THE CHICAGO COMMUNITY AND BEYOND. ON OCTOBER 31, 1933, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED A DETERMINATION OF EXEMPT STATUS FROM THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. BASED ON A REQUEST BY THE ORGANIZATION, THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE CONFIRMED IN A LETTER DATED MAY 14, 1942 THAT THE ORGANIZATION WAS NOT REQUIRED TO FILE ANNUAL RETURNS. THIS POSITION WAS RECONFIRMED IN A RULING DATED OCTOBER 20, 1970. DURING THE PERIOD ENDED AUGUST 31, 2007, THE ORGANIZATION DETERMINED THAT IT NO LONGER OPERATED AS A "CHURCH," BUT CONTINUES TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR RELIGIOUS AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE.
