Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

TO PROVIDE LEGAL BENEFITS TO ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS AND ELIGIBLE DEPENDENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLAN RULES AND REGULATIONS. THE PLAN IS A MULTIEMPLOYER PLAN.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

Includes CPR instruction and instruction in techniques for relieving an individual who is choking.

TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING PROMOTION AND EDUCATION TO ADVANCE THE CONTINUING USE OF ASPALT PAVEMENT AND PAVEMENT TREATS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF HAWAII.
