(HSGS), A GEORGIA NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION DETERMINED TO BE A PUBLIC CHARITY BY THE IRS, BY ASSISTING HSGS IN FUNDRAISING, FUND ANAGEMENT, MAKING GRANTS, GIFTS, AND OTHER DISTRIBUTIONS TO HSGS AND BY ENGAGING IN SUCH OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT MAY BENEFIT OR FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF HSGS.

The goal of this organization is to offer new or second-hand furniture, appliances, clothing, toys and other material goods at lower than retail prices, and which often use the proceeds from sales to support other services to the community. Thrift shops accept direct donations from the public of new and reusable goods.

TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF COLONIAL HISTORY BY SEEKING TO COLLECT AND PRESERVE SUCH HISTORICAL RECORDS RELATING TO THE AMERICAN COLONIAL PERIOD, AND ERECTING RELATED MEMORIALS TO INSPIRE ITS MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY.
