LIVING WALLS: THE CITY SPEAKS, INC. PROMOTES PUBLIC INTEREST IN AND APPRECIATION OF PUBLIC SPACE THROUGH STREET ART BY WORKING WITH LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS TO CREATE CONTEMPORARY PUBLIC ART, MURALS AND INSTALLATIONS AROUND THE CITY OF ATLANTA. THROUGH THIS ARTWORK WE BRING AWARENESS TO PUBLIC SPACE THAT IS OFTEN OVERLOOKED, NEGLECTED OR TAKEN FOR GRANTED WHILE ALSO INSPIRING SOCIAL CHANGE. WE ENGAGE IN DIALOGUE WITH COMMUNITIES AROUND THIS ARTWORK AND THE LOCATIONS THEY INHABIT THROUGH MURAL MAKING, WORKSHOPS, LECTURES, CONFERENCES AND GALLERY SHOWINGS. WE INSTALL ARTWORK IN A VARIETY OF LOCATIONS AROUND THE CITY OF ATLANTA, AND EVENTUALLY THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IN ORDER TO BRING INDIVIDUALS INTO AREAS THEY MAY NOT NORMALLY TRAVEL, AND THEREFORE GET TO KNOW THEIR CITY, STATE AND FELLOW GEORGIANS IN A NEW WAY.

THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM CHURCHES, BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE ATLANTA AREA AS WELL AS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. SERVICE INITIATIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:1) HEALTH (ST. VNCENT DE PAUL HEALTH CENTER, MEDIKA MAMBA PROGRAM, COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS, MOTHER-BABY PROGRAM);2) WATER (WELL DRILLING AND GIFT OF WATER FILTRATION SYSTEMS);3) EDUCATION (TEACHER TRAINING AND RESTORE OUR SCHOOL'S PROGRAM); AND4) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (ENTREPRENEUR TRAINING AND MICROFINANCE LENDING).

EXPAND THE CHARITABLE SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL FUNCTION OF CATIE (CENTER FOR TROPICAL AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH), A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION HEADQUARTERED IN COSTA RICA WITH OFFICES IN MUCH OF LATIN AMERICA. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY THE FOLLOWING THREE ACTIVITIES: (1) SPONSORING SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS; (2) FUNDING RESEARCH, STUDY AND PUBLICATION IN SCIENTIFIC AREAS RELEVENT TO THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION, AND; (3) WORKING WITH NON-PROFIT ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECOLOGICAL ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD.
