MISSION:

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

THE ORANGE BOWL COMMITTEE EXISTS AS AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION TO SUPPORT AND PRODUCE ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS THAT ENHANCE THE IMAGE, ECONOMY, AND CULTURE OF SOUTH FLORIDA. OVER ITS 87-YEAR HISTORY, THE NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION HAS GROWN BEYOND HOSTING PREMIER POST SEASON COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES, TO INCLUDE A FESTIVAL OF EVENTS THAT DRIVE TOURISM, INSPIRE YOUTH, AND IMPROVE LIFE IN THE SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY. ORANGE BOWL PROGRAMS AND EVENTS NORMALLY INCLUDE THE ORANGE BOWL BASKETBALL CLASSIC, ORANGE BOWL YOUTH FOOTBALL ALLIANCE, ORANGE BOWL CHEER & DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, ORANGE BOWL INTERNATIONAL YOUTH REGATTA, ORANGE BOWL INTERNATIONAL TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS, ORANGE BOWL SWIM CLASSIC, ORANGE BOWL LACROSSE CLASSIC, ORANGE BOWL DRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE GIRLS GOLF PROGRAM, THE ORANGE BOWL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY AMONG OTHERS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES FUNDING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS THAT GRANT NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO SOUTH FLORIDA'S YOUTH.
