THE WALKABOUT MISSION IS TO RESTORE DIGNITY, FREEDOM AND INDEPENDANCE BY RAISING FUNDS TO FIND A CURE FOR PARALYSIS AND TO PROVIDE WHEELCHAIRS AND REHABILITAION SERVICES TO PEOPLE IN NEED

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

TO ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUAL CREATIVITY AND TO BROADEN COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN, APPRECIATION OF, AND SUPPORT FOR THE VISUAL, PERFORMING, AND LITERARY ARTS.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATION PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ITS MEMBERS IN TIME OF NEED, TO CREATE CLOSE BONDS AMONG ITS MEMBERS AND PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL POLICE SERVICES TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION STRIVES FOR HIGHER STANDARDS OF WORK PERFORMANCE, ENHANCES THE PROFESSIONAL ABILITIES OF THE MEMBERS AND IMPROVES WORKING CONDITIONS.

THE CENTER PROVIDES COUNSELING, SEMINARS, AND TRAINING.

THE GREENWICH BALLET ACADEMY IS A BALLET SCHOOL WHICH NURTURES TALENTED YOUNG STUDENTS TOWARD CAREERS IN PROFESSIONAL BALLET. THE ACADEMY TAKES GREAT CARE IN DIRECTING EACH OF ITS STUDENTS ON AN INDIVIDUAL PATH TOWARD EXCELLENCE. SMALL CLASSES, TAUGHT BY RENOWNED PROFESSIONALS USING A PROGRESSIVE INTERPRETATION OF THE VAGANOVA SYSTEM AS TAUGHT BY THE KIROV AND THE BOLSHOI ACADEMIES, ENSURE THAT EACH STUDENT IS GIVEN THE PERSONAL ATTENTION AND INSTRUCTION NEEDED TO REACH HER/HIS ULTIMATE POTENTIAL. OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE CLASSICAL BALLET AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE ACCESSIBLE TO ANY TALENTED CHILD WITH A DREAM OF BEING A PROFESSIONAL DANCER, AND TO GIVE EACH STUDENT AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE THE NEEDED SKILLS AND STAGE EXPERIENCE CRUCIAL TO HER/HIS FUTURE IN DANCE.

PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH AGES 4-19 OF ALL EXPERIENCE AND SKILL LEVELS TO PLAY SOCCER AND TEACH THE IMPORTANCE OF TEAMWORK, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND DISCIPLINE.

TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF AND ACCELERATE FUNDING FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH RESEARCH TO TRANSFORM WOMEN'S LIVES AND IMPACT THE ECONOMY.

CONDUCTED CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT INCLUDED ENCOURAGING A GREATER DEMAND FOR INFECTION CONTROL IN HOSPITALS AND BETTER PROTECTION FOR PATIENTS AGAINST HOSPITAL INFEFCTION AND PUBLIC REPORTING OF INFECTION RATES.

FRIENDS OF NATHANIEL WITHERELL IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO RAISING FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF THE NATHANIEL WITHERELL, THE SKILLED NURSING AND SHORT TERM REHABILITATION CENTER OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, CT AND OTHERWISE ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR NATHANIEL WITHERELL RESIDENTS.
