GROUNDWORK BRIDGEPORT'S MISSION IS TO BRING ABOUT THE SUSTAINED REGENERATION IMPROVEMENTS AND MANAGEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT BY EMPOWERING PEOPLE, BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL WELL BEING.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

HORIZONS BRIDGEPORT PROVIDES REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND FUNDRAISING SUPPORT, AND FACILITATES COLLABORATION AMONG HORIZONS OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS FOR BRIDGEPORT K-12 STUDENT

THE TRUST WAS CREATED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, TO DISTRIBUTE ITS ANNUAL INCOME TO THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MT HOPE AND THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF VERMONT.

TRUST WAS CREATED TO DISTRIBUTE ITS ANNUAL INCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT, A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY, IN ORDER TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF AWORTHY JUNIOR, SENIOR OR POST GRADUATE MEDICAL STUDENT WHO IS STUDYING DISEASES OF THE HEART.

The goal of this organization is to work to promote the rights of employees to fair remuneration and safe working conditions.

THE TRUST IS BOTH ORGANIZED AND OPERATED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES, AND TO FUNCTION AS A SECTION501(C)(3) AND 509(A)(3) SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION. INVESTED ASSETS OF THE TRUST ARE USED TO PROVIDE DISTRIBUTIONS TO THE DESIGNATED SUPPORTED ORGANIZATION, WOODSTOCK HISTORY CENTER, INC.

MISSION:

TO RESTORE PRESERVE AND ENSURE THE VIABILITY OF THE MARY AND ELIZA FREEMAN HOUSES; TEACH THE HISTORY OF CONNECTICUT BLACKS; REVITALIZE THE SURROUNDING SOUTH END COMMUNITY; AND FACILITATE THE PRESERVATION AND REVITALIZATION OF OTHER AFRICAN-AMERICAN AND GREATER BRIDGEPORT HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMUNITIES.

The goal of this organization is to promote artistic expression within a particular ethnic community; work for the preservation and promotion of the traditions, values and lifestyles of different cultural groups; organize activities and events which promote cultural exchange locally or nationally; and encourage understanding and respect for different cultural heritages among the youthful members of the group as well as the mainstream population.

THE TRUST LIMITS ITS DISTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT MEDICAL CENTER AND THE HOWARD CENTER, INC., FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THE UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT MEDICAL CENTER AND THE HOWARD CENTER, INC. ARE THE SUCCESSORS OF THE CHARITABLE BENEFICIARIES NAMED IN PART VI, PARAGRAPH FIVE OF THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT.

TO INCREASE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE BRIDGEPORT REGION BY ACTING TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR BUSINESS EXPANSION, RETENTION AND RECRUITMENT THAT WILL RESULT IN JOBS AND TAX BASE GROWTH.

The goal of this organization is to operate societies, professional councils, and other organizations that bring together individuals or organizations with a common professional or vocational interest within the Crime, Legal Related major group area.
