THE PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE A SAFE AND LIVABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE GLENS AND THE VILLAGES, LOCATED WITHIN THE COMMUNITY OF RANCHO PENASQUITOS. THE ORGANIZATIONS' EFFORTS ARE DIRECTED AT EDUCATING RESIDENTS REGARDING TRAFFIC AND SAFETY ISSUES THAT IMPACT OUR COMMUNITY AND ORGANIZING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES AS THEY ARISE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to operate centers which offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and public lockers. Recreational centers usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents and provide all necessary equipment.

WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY BASED EDUCATION AND SUBSIDIZED SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS TO ACHIEVE ZERO EUTHANASIA OF ADOPTABLE AND TREATABLE PETS IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY. WE OPERATE TWO MOBILE SPAY/NEUTER BUSES.

THE FRIENDS OF FAMOSA SLOUGH (FFS) WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROTECT AND RESTORE FAMOSA SLOUGH, A 37-ACRE TIDAL WETLAND, AS A NATURAL WETLANDS PRESERVE AND TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF WETLANDS. FFS LEADS RESTORATION EFFORTS TO INCREASE WILDLIFE AND OPEN SPACE VALUES AND SUPPORTS THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO'S PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT WHICH MANAGES THE FAMOSA SLOUGH. THE FRIENDS HAVE ACQUIRED VACANT LAND AROUND THE SLOUGH AND HAVE ESTABLISHED AND MAINTAINED CALIFORNIA NATIVE PLANTS.

TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR AREA BUSINESSES TO DEVELOP MARKETING CAMPAIGNS, ENHANCE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, AND BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS AND AREA MAINTENANCE.

The goal of this organization are the residential options exclusively for older adults who want to have a simpler, maintenance-free lifestyle and enjoy the company of peers with common interests, or who require a moderate amount of support in the activities of daily living to maintain independent living.

TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH A DIAGNOSED MENTAL ILLNESS IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO INCREASE SOCIAL SKILLS, REDUCE ISOLATION, ENCOURAGE AND FACILITATE INDIVIDUAL MOTIVATION AND INDEPENDENT FUNCTIONING, FOCUS ON REALISTIC AND ATTAINABLE EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL GOALS, REDUCE THE UTILIZATION OF PSYCHIATRIC INPATIENT SERVICES AND MAINTAIN AN ULTIMATE GOAL OF SELF SUPPORT.
