VHS RESCUES AND REHABILITATES COMPANION ANIMALS, CHAMPIONS RESPONSIBLE CARETAKING, SHARES PETS' SOOTHING AFFECTIONS WITH PEOPLE IN NEED OF COMFORT, AND SUPPORTS AND PRESERVES EXISTING PET-GUARDIAN RELATIONSHIPS.

MISSION:

THE WIDOWS AND ORPHANS AID ASSOCIATION OF THE OAKLAND POLICE DEPT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1908 AS A POLICE OFFICER'S BENEFIT AND RELIEF ASSOC TO AID THE DEPENDENTS OF ITS MEMBERS IN THE EVENT OF DEATH.

MISSION:

PROVIDE HEALTH CARE BENEFITS TO ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS COVERED BY COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS.
