TOSA FOUNDATION WILL SUPPORT THIS MISSION BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE FOR THE ORGAN RECIPIENTS, POTENTIAL ORGAN RECIPIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AS WELL AS ORGAN DONORS, POTENTIAL ORGAN DONORS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO DO NOT LIVE IN THE SAN ANTONIO METRO AREA. TEMPORARY RESIDENCE WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING PRETRANSPLANTATION, TRANSPLANTATION AND POST TRANSPLANTATION.

WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE FOREGOING PURPOSES, THE CORPORATION WILL SUPPORT POLICIES THAT STRENGTHEN THE HEALTHCARE SAFETY-NET SYSTEM, AND IMPROVE ACCESS TO, AND THE AVAILABILITY, DELIVERY, EFFICIENCY AND FUNDING OF, QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. THE CORPORATION WILL CARRY OUT THESE PURPOSES BY LOBBYING FOR LAWS, REGULATIONS, AND POLICIES THAT ENABLE HOSPITALS, SURGERY CENTERS, AND SIMILAR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO OBTAIN ACCESS TO FUNDS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE PROVISION OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO MEDICALLY INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS. THE CORPORATION CURRENTLY ANTICIPATES SPENDING APPROXIMATELY 90% OF ITS TIME AND FUNDS ON THESE ACTIVITIES.
