PBMC WAS ORGANIZED TO, AMONG OTHER THINGS, (A) PROMOTE AND PROVIDE FOR OR ASSIST IN THE ESTABLISHMENT, SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE OF PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES WITHIN THE PERMIAN BASIN REGION OF WEST TEXAS FOR MEDICAL, DENTAL AND NURSING EDUCATION AND OTHER PHASES OF HEALTH AND MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR HOSPITALIZATION AND TREATMENT OF PERSONS REQUIRING MEDICAL TREATMENT AND FOR RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF HEALTH AND SCIENCE OF MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY AND (B) PROMOTE OR ASSIST THE NONPROFIT CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, MEDICAL CARE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS LOCATED WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF A MEDICAL CENTER IN THE PERMIAN BASIN REGION OF WEST TEXAS TO BE DEVELOPED BY PBMC (THE MEDICAL CENTER), BY PROVIDING SERVICES TO SUCH INSTITUTIONS OF THEIR FACILITIES LOCATED WITHIN SUCH BOUNDARIES AND EACH SUCH INSTITUTION'S USE OF SUCH FACILITIES WHILE IT IS OPERATING WITHIN SUCH BOUNDARIES, WITH A VIEW TO ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING WITHIN SUCH BOUNDARIES A COORDINATED AND MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL ENVIRONMENT FOR SUCH

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide support services to patients and their families. Programs can include social and recreational activities for people who are recovering from surgery or a serious illnesses; supportive services for children who are ill and for their families which enable family members to remain with a child who is hospitalized; family and sibling support groups, and programs which attempt to make a gravely or terminally ill child’s final days, weeks and months more pleasant.
