MISSION:

ESTABLISHED IN 1994, THE MAAR BENEVOLENT FUND PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMPHIS AREA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING TEMPORARY PERIODS OF FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY DUE TO PROLONGED ILLNESS, CATASTROPHIC OCCURRENCE, ACCIDENT OR DEATH.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AROUND THE NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY AREA ON BEHALF OF, AND IN THE NAME OF, THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE NASHVILLE FIRE FIGHTERS' ASSOCIATION, I.A.F.F. LOCAL 140, COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN OF MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION WHOSE HOMES ARE DAMAGED BY NATURAL DISASTER OR WHO ARE OFF PAYROLL DUE TO LONG-TERM INJURY OR ILLNESS, AND ANY CHARITABLE MEASURE TO ANY PERSON OR ORGANIZATION THAT IS DEEMED NEEDED AND NECESSARY.
