THE PITTSBURGH INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC ACADEMY FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO SUPPORT THE MISSION OF SOUTH HILLS CATHOLIC ACADEMY (SHCA) WHICH IS TO ASSIST PARENTS IN THE CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL, MORAL AND INTELLECTUAL FORMATION OF THEIR CHILDREN BY ENSURING THE TOTAL DEVELOPMENT OF EACH CHILD - BODY, MIND, AND SOUL. SHCA PROVIDES CHILDREN FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES WITH AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION, WHICH IS ACHIEVED THROUGH TUITION ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY STUDENTS AND BY FUNDING THE GENERAL OPERATIONS AND CAPITAL REQUIREMENTS OF SPONSORED CATHOLIC SCHOOLS.

THE PARENT BOOSTER ASSOCIATION IS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO YOUTH IN CONNECTION WITH EDUCATING AND INFORMING YOUTH IN THE FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS OF GYMNASTICS AND CHEERLEADING. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO FOSTER NATIONAL AND/OR INTERNATIONAL GYMNASTICS AND CHEERLEADING COMPETITION BY FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING MEMBERS OF THE GYMNASTICS AND CHEERLEADING TEAMS THROUGH VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THEIR ENTRY TO SAID COMPETITIONS. OUR VISION IS TO SUPPORT OUR TEAMS TO COMPETE AS WELL AS PROMOTE AND PROVIDE A SAFE AND SOUND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT TO PROMOTE PRACTICES OF FUNDAMENTAL SPORTSMANSHIP WITHOUT REGARD TO RACE, EDUCATION, RELIGION OR SEX.

THE SYSTEM WAS FORMED TO COORDINATE THE EFFORTS OF THREE PUBLIC LIBRARIES FOR COLLECTIONS AND REFERENCE MATERIALS AND PROVIDE LIBRARY SERVICES FOR ALL THREE LIBRARIES IN A COOPERATIVE FASHION.
