WE STRIVE TO SUPPORT MARYLAND AS THE PREMIER MODEL OF TRAUMA CENTER AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION AND FUNCTION. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE THREE PILLARS OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS COMMITTEE ON TRAUMA, THIS GOAL IS ACHIEVED THROUGH ACTIVE PROGRAMS IN EDUCATION, ADVOCACY AND QUALITY PATIENT CARE.

Programs can include social and recreational activities for people who are recovering from surgery or a serious illnesses; supportive services for children who are ill and for their families which enable family members to remain with a child who is hospitalized; family and sibling support groups, and programs which attempt to make a gravely or terminally ill child’s final days, weeks and months more pleasant. TO ASSIST CHILD AND ADOLESCENT BURN SURVIVORS FROM THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THEIR ADJUSTMENT TO INJURY BY PROVIDING AN ANNUAL THERAPEUTIC RESIDENTIAL SUMMER CAMP AND OTHER YEAR-ROUND ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT THEIR PHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS.

MISSION:

THE LPC PROVIDES FREE SUPPORT SERVICES AND PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL, AND EMOTIONAL CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING SUPPORT IN THEIR PREGNANCY AND THOSE IMPACTED BY REPRODUCTIVE LOSS, INCLUDING ABORTION.
