FRIENDS OF CAPE WILDLIFE (FCW) IS COMPRISED OF CITIZENS WORKING TO PROVIDE COMPASSIONATE CARE, ADVOCACY, AND REHABILITATION TO BIRDS, MAMMALS AND REPTILES ON CAPE COD THAT ARE IN DISTRESS. WE SEEK TO ENABLE REHABILITATORS TO BE SELF SUSTAINING AND HAVE THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO REHABILITATE AND RETURN WILDLIFE, HEALTHY AND WHOLE, BACK TO NATIVE HABITATS. WE OFFER EDUCATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY PROVIDING NON-LETHAL SOLUTIONS WHEN ADDRESSING CONFLICTS BETWEEN PEOPLE AND WILDLIFE AND TO ENCOURAGE HUMANE COEXISTENCE THRU ADVOCACY WITH OUR WILD NEIGHBORS IN AN EVER DIMINISHING ENVIRONMENT

ENCOMPASSES THE FOLLOWING: TO RESCUE ANIMALS FROM SITUATIONS THAT ARE ABUSIVE, ENDANGERING, OR NEGLECTFUL, TO RESCUE ANIMALS IN DANGER OF BEING EUTHANIZED AT SHELTERS AND POUNDS, TO ASSIST OWNERS UNABLE TO KEEP THEIR DOGS BY FINDING NEW HOMES FOR THEIR DOGS THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S OWNER SURRENDER PROGRAM, AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO PLACING THEIR DOG IN A PUBLIC SHELTER OR ANIMAL CONTROL FACILITY, TO PROVIDE NECESSARY VETERINARY CARE, TO PROVIDE HOMES FOR THESE ANIMALS, TO PLACE RESCUED ANIMALS IN PERMANENT ADOPTIVE HOMES, TO EDUCATE AND PROMOTE THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAYING/NEUTERING COMPANION ANIMALS, TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON HOW TO PREVENT ANIMAL CRUELTY, AND TO CONDUCT OTHER SUCH ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION
