AT THE CAPE CINEMA, OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AVANT GARDE EXHIBITION, LIVE PERFORMANCES, AND INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT TO THE COMMUNITY IN OUR ART HOUSE THEATRICAL VENUE. OUR PRINCIPLE PURPOSE HAS BEEN MAINTAINING OUR IDENTITY AS AN ARTHOUSE MOVIE THEATRE SINCE 1930 WHILE ALSO DIVERSIFYING OUR CONTENT, UTILIZING OUR VENUE AS A MULTIPURPOSE SPACE TO ENTERTAIN AND EDUCATE, AND CONTINUING TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF THE HISTORIC CAPE CINEMA INSTITUTION.

THE ORGANIZATION IS OPERATED FOR CHARITABLE, LITERARY AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES INCLUDING THE OPERATION OF AN ART MUSEUM TO DISPLAY, PRESERVE AND STIMULATE AN APPRECIATION OF ART, ALL IN SERVICE OF THE PUBLIC.

MISSION:

VINEYARD ARTS PROJECT IS A RESIDENCY SPACE THAT BOTH SERVES AS AN INCUBATOR FOR PROFESSIONAL COMPANIES CREATING NEW WORK IN DANCE AND THEATER AND HOSTS YOUNG ARTIST TRAINING PROGRAMS. WE HOST VIRTUAL IN PERSON WORKSHOP PERFORMANCES TO WELCOME THE COMMUNITY INTO THE ARTISTIC PROCESS.
