REMAINING TRUE TO ITS MISSION TO DELIGHT, INSPIRE AND EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY, SOUTH FLORIDA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (SFSO) PERFORMED MORE THAN 37 IN PERSON CONCERTS AND EVENTS FOR PATRONS THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH FLORIDA REGION, INCLUDING MONROE, MIAMI-DADE AND BROWARD COUNTIES, SERVING APPROXIMATELY 22,000 MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. THE MASTERWORKS CONCERT SERIES FEATURED WORLD-RENOWNED SOLOISTS, INCLUDING ZUILL BAILEY, CELLO, SVETLANA SMOLINA PIANO AND ASKAR SALIMDJANOV, VIOLIN AND OTHERS. AMONG THE ARTISTIC HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON WAS DVO?K: CELLO CONCERTO IN B MINOR, OP. 104, AND GOTTSCH'S OCKLAWAHA - WORLD PREMIERE. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSFORMATIVE MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM, SYMPHONY IN THE SCHOOLS, EXPOSED MORE THAN 5,000 CULTURALLY UNDERSERVED STUDENTS TO THE MAGIC OF LIVE CLASSICAL MUSIC.
