THE CONNECTICUT POWER & ENERGY SOCIETY IS DEDICATED TO GENERATING INFORMATION, SHARING IDEAS AND EDUCATING CONNECTICUT ABOUT ENERGY.

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

YOUTH BUILD PAINT INSTALL AND MAINTAIN HONEY BEE HIVES IN COMMUNITY SPACE IN DISINVESTED NEIGHBORHOODS WHILE ALSO ENCOURAGING COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN POLLINATOR FRIENDLY PRACTICES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION.

OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD COMMUNITY AND REDUCE FOOD WASTE, ONE FOOD RESCUE AT A TIME. WE RECOVER FOOD THAT IS TOO GOOD TO WASTE. IT IS A HYPER LOCAL, VOLUNTEER DRIVEN ORGANIZATION THAT USES TECHNOLOGY TO BEST SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY TO RECOVER AND KEEP LOCAL EXCESS FOOD IN THE COMMUNITY. WITH OUR DIRECT DELIVERY MODEL, WE ARE ABLE TO MOVE FOOD DIRECTLY TO WHERE PEOPLE LIVE, WORK, GO TO SCHOOL OR DAYCARE, WORSHIP AND GET THEIR HEALTHCARE.
