THE MISSION OF JCC MACCABI SPORTS CAMP IS TO PROVIDE CAMPERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD STRONG CHARACTER AND JEWISH COMMUNITY THROUGH SPORTS.

These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC DERAILED SCHEDULED WORKLOAD AND CURTAILED ALL FUNDRISING ACTIVITIES. HOWEVER, THE BOARD WAS ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTS AND DESIGN WORK FOR THE HOLLYWOOD CENTRAL PARK. FHCP TECHNICAL COMMITTEE WORKED WITH CITY PARTNERS TO CREATE PRE-DEVELOPMENT PLANS TO BUILD THE HOLLYWOOD CENTRAL PARK. ZOOM MEETINGS REPLACED IN-PERSON BOARD AND COMMITTE MEETINGS. FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE RESEARCHED GRANT OPPORTUNITIES AND EVENT PLANNING. FHCP BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDED A 5-DAY ADVOCACY TRIP TO WASHINGTON DC IN JULY 2021.

TO SUPPORT, ENCHANCE AND DEVELOP THE SPORT OF FENCING MAKING IT ACCESSIBLE TO CHILDREN, YOUNG ADULTS AND ADULTS WHO MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO LEARN THE SPORT. TO PROVIDE A PLACE FOR SCHOOLS IN THE COMMUNITY, THAT DO NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE INSTRUCTION AND/OR FACILITIES, TO SEND THEIR STUDENTS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN THE SPORT OF FENCING. TO PROVIDE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN THE SPORT OF FENCING, AN APPROPRIATE FACILITY TO FENCE. TO PROVIDE QUALITY INSTRUCTION AND FACILITIES FOR ALL AGE GROUPS, CHILDREN TO ADULTS, WHO WOULD LIKE TO FENCE COMPETITIVELY.
