THE SOCIETY IS COMMITTED TO CONSERVING AND PRESERVING THESE PLANTS AND ANIMALS THROUGH SCIENTIFICALLY BASED CONSERVATION EFFORTS. IT WAS SET-UP TO HELP PROTECT AND CONSERVE THE DIMINISHING OF SRI LANKA AND TO MAKE THE LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AWARE OF IT'S ENDANGERED STATUS.
