HIGH HOPES SPECIALIZES IN APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS (ABA) CONCENTRATING ON LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL BEHAVIOR. THE CHILDREN WORK ON SKILLS INCLUDING: CLASSROOM, SOCIAL, COOPERATION, MOTOR AND VOCAL IMMITATION, REQUESTING, LABELING AND COMMUNICATION. THE ORGANIZATION'S GOAL IS INDEPENDENT INTEGRATION INTO A TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM. THERE IS ALSO A FOCUS ON PARENTAL TRAINING BASED ON THE CHILD'S INDIVIDUALIZED NEEDS. HIGH HOPES ENCOURAGES PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND OFFERS SERVICES ALLOWING PARENTS TO MONITOR THEIR CHILD'S THERAPY VIA INTERNET CONNECTION.

TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE BIRMINGHAM DISTRICT (HABD) AND SECTION 8 FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM (FSS) PARTICIPANTS IN THE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM AND JEFFERSON COUTY, ALABAMA THROUGH PERIODIC AND ANNUAL AWARDS OF SCHOLARSHIPS
