LHBC'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE COST-FREE TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR PATIENTS OF LENOX HILL HOSPITAL WHO ARE UNDERGOING EARLY MORNING DAY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR PROCEDURES OR FOR RELATIVES OF IN-PATIENTS AT THE HOSPITAL (SIMILAR TO THE RONALD MCDONALD FACILITY). IN ADDITION, LHBC ORGANIZES HOSPITAL VISITATION FOR PATIENTS AND ACT, WHEN REQUESTED TO SERVE AS OMBUDSMAN FOR PATIENTS SEEKING ADVICE ON MEDICAL REFERRALS OR TREATMENTS.
