THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO RECEIVE GIFTS FROM THE TERRY FAMILY AND MAKE GRANTS OR GIFTS TO EITHER OR BOTH THE MADISON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND THE UW FOUNDATION.

TO RAISE MONEY AND GIFTS FROM DONOR MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND DISTRIBUTE SUCH FUNDS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAX UNDER SEC 501(C)(3) OF THE CODE AND CLASSIFIED AS NON-PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS. THE DONORS MAY DIRECT THE DEPOSITORY TO DISTRIBUTE ITS, HIS OR HER DONATIONS TO ONE OR MORE SUCH QUALIFIED CHARITIES.
